Can your business ever afford to destroy lives and property on the job?
Accidents happen - but there are ways to prevent calamity. Heavy equipment this large is moving on a work site somewhere, every day, 24 hours a day, sometimes in limited visibility. The Heavy-Duty Rearsense™ obstacle detection system is the second generation in the development of a dependable, quality collision warning product line. Heavy Duty Rearsense can utilise multiple sensor devices with in-cab display alerts to provide an equipment operator with clear perimeter knowledge in the cab.
The Heavy Duty Rearsense™ sensor is designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions. Heat, cold, rain, snow, high winds, and fog do not affect the operation of the unit. In fact, the system is designed to operate in temperatures from 85ºC to -40ºC. In addition to temperature extremes, the sensor has been designed to withstand high vibration environments found in both on and off road operating conditions. The sensor does not require cleaning, but it can be washed, even with a high-pressure fire hose without damage since the unit is completely sealed with a durable urethane material.
Model Numbers and Coverage

Range and Applications
The Heavy Duty Rearsense™ is supplied in 26 feet (8 meter), 20 feet (6.5 meter),15 feet (4.5 meter) and 10 feet (3 meter) versions.
Various ranges between 10 to 26 feet can be obtained by programming the sensor.
Designed for integration with other safety systems, Rearsense™ can be combined with passive safety devices such as back-up alarms, lights, or even cameras. By mounting and integrating these on the same vehicle, the operator can be alerted to take action or warn others that the vehicle is in reverse motion. By placing the sensors in an un-obscured area, you are ensured to get the best detection coverage the system has to offer.
